CAD fire plans provides all premises information needs, from required data for information boxes to external display plates on high-rises.
The Secure information box has been a legal requirement since 23 January 2023 for existing high-rise residential buildings to have a Secure information box. The regulations require responsible persons to install a suitably secure information box in or on their high-rise buildings. However, some complex buildings will also require to have secure information boxes, such as care homes, shopping centres, historic buildings, and large factories, and on the recommendation of the fire risk assessment .
They will also be required to provide in the box:
• Contact details of any other person who has the facilities to and is permitted to access the building as the responsible person considers appropriate
• Copies of the building's floor plans – which identify specified key fire-fighting equipment
• A single Hard copies page block plan - which identifies specified key fire-fighting equipment (example list below)
• Access to premises
• Gas mains
• Dry Riser location
• Sprinkler shut off and rooms
• Identification of people who would need assistance
It should be noted that each Fire Rescue Service may request slightly different information, which should be checked, and additional information on the back of a fire risk assessment may be required.
